A Small World, Made With Love

Before Polly Pocket was a household name, she was a tiny world my father made just for me. In 1982, my dad Chris Wiggs designed the original Polly as a gift for me, something magical and personal. We grew up together, Polly and I, in more ways than one.

I don’t bring this up just because it's sweet or nostalgic, it is included here because it shaped my understanding of care, imagination, and what it means to create something safe and beautiful in the face of life's challenges. 

The powerful idea of art as a (portable) sanctuary, that holds a whole world inside, still guides my work today.
